Nature Walk for Beginners

A guided walk exploring the rich biodiversity around Navaluru, Dharwad — birds, insects, plants, and the fascinating ecological relationships that surround us. First-timers and seasoned nature enthusiasts alike are welcome.

7:00 AM · Navaluru, Dharwad · ~2–5 km · 2.5–3 hours

Bring: water bottle, light snacks, comfortable walking shoes, cap or hat.

Leave the city behind. A full-day community engagement experience where nature, culture and traditional knowledge come together.

7:30 – 9:30 AM · Guided Nature Walk
Scenic countryside, birds and butterflies, native plants.

9:30 – 10:00 AM · Traditional Breakfast
A wholesome local breakfast with fellow participants.

10:00 AM onwards · Artisanal Pottery Workshop
Learn from a local Kumbar (potter) family — from sourcing and kneading clay to shaping, drying, and firing. Hands-on, with the heritage and livelihood story of traditional potters.
